Short Overview
In this role, you will take ownership of strategic purchasing activities for selected product categories, actively shape supplier relationships on an international level, and contribute to product development projects with a strong focus on cost efficiency, supply security, and long-term value creation.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies for assigned material groups and supplier categories
Analyze international procurement markets and identify new sourcing opportunities
Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers in close cooperation with Quality Management and R&D
Lead price, contract, and framework negotiations with national and international suppliers
Ensure supply chain resilience by identifying and mitigating procurement risks
Support product development projects from an early stage with purchasing expertise
Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify efficiency potential across the supply chain
Participate in make-or-buy decisions and cross-functional improvement projects
Maintain relevant master data in the ERP system and create purchasing analyses and reports
Contribute to process improvements and purchasing-related digitalization initiatives
Your Profile
Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships internationally
Good understanding of supply chain processes and cost structures
Excellent ERP knowledge; advanced MS Office skills required
Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
Analytical mindset, proactive working style, and strong ownership mentality
Ability to work effectively across departments and cultures
